Here is my first attempt at doing a "scene" on my lids. I have seen this emerging as a popular trend on my favorite makeup sites and wanted to give it a try. I had fun with it and might get creative with some more scenes in the near future...

How I Store My Makeup
Since I just moved into a new studio room, I have a different set up and wanted to show everyone how I store my makeup. I know plenty of people who have a bunch or makeup laying around in their bathrooms and bedrooms, so I am hoping this will help give you some tips on how you can organize it. Feel free to share your storage tips with me too!
I put my powders and blushes in these office storage type containers. When you line them up on their sides like this, it can save you a lot of room. (I got these at Walmart for less than $5 and they come 2 in a pack).

This is the same plastic basket that I used for my compacts. They work great for small loose items like false lashes too.
I got this plastic container with small sections in the fishing isle at Walmart. I think they are typically used for tackle but they are also great for glitter and other small containers.
I got this "standard accessory box" from Sharodan, a company that makes makeup storage containers. It is perfect for holding eyeliners and pencils.
This lipstick box is a more popular storage option from Sharodan and is perfect for holding 50 of your favorite lipsticks, if you collect a crazy amount of them like me...It is perfect because you can see what color you are grabbing very easily.
In here I have an office organizer used for filing. It is cheap and great for keeping your palettes in order.
These containers are also from walmart (from the home improvement isle). These I found in the section where they sell nails and small bolts. The small divided sections of this container make it perfect for holding pigments and small jars. When kept on their sides, it is so easy to see which color I am grabbing. I organize mine by brand and have a few of these. They are great for stacking.
Anyway, I know I have a lot of makeup but regardless of how much you have I think these containers are a great way to maximize space and keep your products safe and clean. Hope it helps!
